Basketball Recap: Long Beach Comes Up Short

Long Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Picayune Maroon Tide and fell 66-33. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-16 back in December of 2024.

Long Beach's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Picayune, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Long Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Picayune has also already played their next game, a 54-47 victory against George County on the 3rd.
