Madison Academy skates past Hokes Bluff with ease

Recap: Madison Academy Mustangs vs. Hokes Bluff Eagles

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Madison Academy Mustangs had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Hokes Bluff at home to the tune of 57-20. The victory was just business as usual for Madison Academy, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

Leading Madison Academy to victory were Kenyon Cherry and Joshua Williams. Cherry rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Williams rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Cherry is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last ten games he's played. Jake Poldiak was another key contributor, throwing for 177 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.

Madison Academy has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.9 points. As for Hokes Bluff, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Madison Academy will face off against Mars Hill Bible at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mars Hill Bible is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Hokes Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
