Softball Recap: Heritage Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

The third road matchup was the charm for Heritage, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Dublin Gaels on Wednesday. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gaels, too.

Heritage's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-6-1. As for Dublin, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Heritage will head out to challenge Deer Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Dublin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foothill at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Gaels' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
