On Monday, Mica Mountain got the win against Sahuaro by a conclusive 3-0.

Mica Mountain never let Sahuaro on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 27-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Walden Grove came up short against Salpointe Catholic on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Walden Grove was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Salpointe Catholic's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-15.

Mica Mountain's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-8. As for Walden Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Everything went Mica Mountain's way against Walden Grove in their previous matchup on April 3rd, as Mica Mountain made off with a 3-0 victory.
