Football Recap: Abington Comes Up Short

Abington had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-4 to make it eight. They were outmatched by the Neshaminy Skins and fell 48-6. The game marked the Galloping Ghosts' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Miles Yockus threw for 71 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Kai Taylor rushed for 89 yards.

As for Neshaminy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The result was nothing new for the Skins, who have now won three contests by 30 points or more so far this season.

Michael Eckart produced another solid effort throwing for 251 yards and five TDs while completing 94.1% of his passes. Bobby Lagler was in the mix too, providing Neshaminy with two scores.

Abington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 43-8 defeat against Pennridge on the 26th. As for Neshaminy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-18 victory against Central Bucks West on the 26th.
