Basketball Recap: Swink Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Swink won the last time they faced Las Animas, and Nick Paolucci did his part to make sure it happened again. The Swink Lions had just enough and edged the Las Animas Trojans out 56-54 thanks in part to Paolucci, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Nate Cabrera was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Swink's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Las Animas, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Swink didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-28 loss against Crowley County on the 4th. As for Las Animas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-45 win against Cheraw on the 4th.
