Basketball Recap: Provo Skates Past Delta with Ease

Provo extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday, bumping them up to 6-3. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Delta Rabbits 70-31. That looming 70-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Provo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makai Allen out in front who went 7-for-10 en route to 15 points and eight assists. Allen's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gehrig Orchard, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Provo was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

As for Delta, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Rabbits players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bronco Bundy, who earned six points. Another player making a difference was Brody Cleaver, who had four points and six boards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Provo will challenge Payson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delta will take on Enterprise in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
