Baseball Recap: Pleasanton Comes Up Short

Pleasanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 16-6 to the Central Heights Vikings. That's two games in a row now that the Blu-Jays have lost by exactly ten runs.

Mario Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Wyatt Ernest also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Pleasanton's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Central Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Pleasanton will square off against Yates Center on Thursday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Central Heights, they are taking a road trip to challenge Crest at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
