Baseball Recap: Donelson Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Donelson Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 14-6 takedown of Nashville Christian on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 14-4 to the Goodpasture Christian Cougars on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Donelson Christian Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Goodpasture Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8.

Looking ahead, Donelson Christian Academy will take on Clarksville Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Goodpasture Christian, they will challenge Hendersonville at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Commandos' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
