Santa Monica proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Mid-Pacific Institute Owls 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Santa Monica was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16, 15-13.

Santa Monica pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Mid-Pacific Institute, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Santa Monica will head out to face off against Punahou at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Buff n' Blue will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. Mid-Pacific Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
