Baseball Game Preview: Evangel Christian Lightning vs. Hope Christian Academy

Evangel Christian will host Hope Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. RALEY CURTIS was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was WILL WELCH, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

CURTIS wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Evangel Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Hope Christian Academy won against Coosa Valley Academy on Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Hope Christian Academy walked away with a 9-4 victory over Coosa Valley Academy. Hope Christian Academy hasn't had any issues with Coosa Valley Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Evangel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Hope Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Evangel Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Hope Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 1-0. Will Evangel Christian repeat their success, or does Hope Christian Academy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
