Basketball Recap: Westran Extends Winning Streak to Four

Westran put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 49-42 win over the Harrisburg Bulldogs. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 54-40 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Westran to victory were Tiernan Mooneyham and Cruze Haynes. Mooneyham almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards, while Haynes almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Haynes' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Jackson Land was another key player, putting up six points.

Westran's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Harrisburg, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Westran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-43 win against New Franklin on the 6th. As for Harrisburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southern Boone at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
