Volleyball Recap: Golden Gate Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Golden Gate was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Naples Classical on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans came up short against the Everglades City Gators on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on September 8th.

While Golden Gate was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Everglades City's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Golden Gate has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Everglades City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Golden Gate will welcome Island Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Everglades City, they will venture away from home to square off against The Village School of Naples at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
