Football Recap: Jason Horton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rock Hill over Hartsville + How To Watch

Rock Hill scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 56-38 bruising from the Hartsville Red Foxes. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Foxes from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jason Horton, who threw for 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 69 yards on only six carries. Horton got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 51 yards. Another passer making a difference was Jonah Young, who threw for 130 yards and two TDs.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hartsville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Rock Hill will square off against Clover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hartsville, they will take on Dillon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
