Baseball Game Preview: Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders vs. Williston-Elko Blue Devils

The Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders will head out to challenge the Williston-Elko Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bamberg-Ehrhardt will be strutting in after a victory while Williston-Elko will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Bamberg-Ehrhardt earned an 8-4 win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson.

Meanwhile, Williston-Elko came up short against Horse Creek Academy on Friday, falling 9-2. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Williston-Elko saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brice Thigpen, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Williston-Elko, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Williston-Elko by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
