Softball Recap: Kingston Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Kingston unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Ste. Genevieve Dragons on Monday, falling 25-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Kingston saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Bell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Coming up, Kingston will square off against Potosi at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ste. Genevieve, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Murphysboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
