Basketball Game Preview: Cass Colonels vs. Allatoona Buccaneers

Cass is 0-3 against Allatoona since November of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Cass Colonels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Allatoona Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Cass was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-42 to Dalton.

Meanwhile, Allatoona waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 74-62. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Hornets are ranked 335th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Allatoona has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Cass, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
