Baseball Game Preview: Union Grove Christian Patriots vs. Cramerton Christian Academy Crusaders

The Union Grove Christian Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Cramerton Christian Academy Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Union Grove Christian barely beat Alamance Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Union Grove Christian put the hurt on Alamance Christian with a sharp 14-8 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cramerton Christian Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Liberty Christian 15-0.

David Bradley and Coleman Dewey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bradley tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Dewey tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Bradley scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Dewey scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eli Fulbright, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Ryan Carter was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Cramerton Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Christian only posted an OBP of .200.

Cramerton Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.7 runs this season. As for Union Grove Christian, their record is now 3-1.

Union Grove Christian skirted past Cramerton Christian Academy 6-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union Grove Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
