Basketball Recap: Clear Brook Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Clear Brook entered their match against Clear Lake on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Clear Brook Wolverines fell to the Clear Lake Falcons 57-51. The Wolverines were probably out for revenge after losing 61-43 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Julien Barclay was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine boards for Clear Lake. With that strong performance, Barclay is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Logan Perkins was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 boards.

Clear Brook's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-9. As for Clear Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9.

Clear Brook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-39 victory against Brazoswood on the 10th. As for Clear Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-58 loss against Clear Falls on the 10th.
