Basketball Recap: Storm Lake St. Mary Takes a Loss

Storm Lake St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 35th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 71-14 defeat at the hands of the East Sac County Raiders. The Panthers were probably out for revenge after losing 86-17 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Storm Lake St. Mary's record is now 0-12. As for East Sac County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Storm Lake St. Mary will venture away from home to face off against Ridge View at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Ridge View will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Storm Lake St. Mary surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Sac County, they are taking a road trip to challenge West Bend-Mallard at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. East Sac County is facing West Bend-Mallard at the right time seeing as West Bend-Mallard is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
