Volleyball Recap: Waterford Victorious

The Waterford Wildcats earned a 3-1 win over the Stagg Delta Kings on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Waterford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-19.

Stagg lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Evan Sun, who had 17 kills, nine digs, and two aces. He has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelo Lagrimas, who had nine digs, two aces, and one block.

Waterford now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Stagg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Waterford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Gustine on the 18th. Stagg has also already played their next contest (against Tokay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
