Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilmot). They blew past the Catholic Central Hilltoppers 13-3 on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the match before.
Mason Lang looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Preston Jones, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Michael McCormick also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
