Basketball Recap: Panorama Takes a Loss

Panorama was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Sylmar Spartans and fell 80-41. The Pythons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-20.

Eddie Munguia and Raphael Latorre certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Munguia posted 14 points, while Latorre earned 11 points.

Leading Sylmar to victory were James Robinson and David Rodriguez. Robinson went 8-for-13 en route to 18 points, while Rodriguez went 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points. The dominant performance gave Rodriguez a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Alex Reyes, who scored nine points.

Panorama's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Sylmar, their victory bumped their record up to 6-16.

Panorama has already played their next matchup, a 76-43 loss against Reseda on the 12th. As for Sylmar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-64 defeat against Van Nuys on the 10th.
