Football Recap: Orestimba Warriors vs. Escalon Cougars
A win for Orestimba just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were beaten by the Escalon Cougars 41-14. The Warriors were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Although Orestimba took the loss, they still got scores from Devon Bell and Dylan McCauley.
It was another big night for Logan Huebner, who rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 83 yards and three touchdowns for Escalon. Escalon is 4-1 when Huebner posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise. Carson Medina was another key player, rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Orestimba's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Escalon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
