It was fun while it lasted, but Palm Grove Christian's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Thursday. They fell just short of the Venice Indians by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Gators' first of the season.

Palm Grove Christian took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-13, 21-19.

Having lost for the first time this season, Palm Grove Christian fell to 3-1. As for Venice, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Palm Grove Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th. Venice will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Mulberry on March 29th.
