Baseball Game Preview: Dobie Longhorns vs. Pearland Oilers

For the second straight game, Dobie will face off against Pearland. Dobie will head out to take on Pearland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dobie is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Pearland just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oilers.

For Pearland's part, Ethan Sullivan looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave Sullivan a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Nicholas Partida was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Trey Brown, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Pearland has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. Dobie now has a losing record of 9-10.
