Basketball Recap: Toppenish Piles Up the Points Against Ephrata

It was a proper cat-fight when Toppenish duked it out withEphrata on Friday. The Toppenish Wildcats took their match with ease, bagging a 65-13 win over the Ephrata Tigers. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 32 points or more this season.

Toppenish's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adelaide Norman led the charge by putting up seven points in addition to eight steals and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatiana Camacho, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 17 points and five rebounds.

Toppenish smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2023.

The victory made it two in a row for Toppenish and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for Ephrata, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Toppenish didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-23 win against Othello on the 11th. As for Ephrata, they will host Prosser at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Prosser's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
