Basketball Recap: Wesley Christian Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Wesley Christian entered their match against South Charleston on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wesley Christian Circuit Riders were beaten by the South Charleston Black Eagles 80-39. While losing is never fun, the Circuit Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 47th in Kentucky, while the Black Eagles are ranked seventh in West Virginia).

Wesley Christian's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-7. As for South Charleston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Wesley Christian has already played their next contest, a 78-69 win against International Sports Academy on the 3rd. As for South Charleston, they will face off against Capital at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Capital's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
