Volleyball Recap: Sam Rayburn Takes a Loss

Sam Rayburn lost against Alvin back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Texans came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 25-17.

Alvin found their leader in sophomore Hayleigh Griffin, who had 12 assists and four aces.

Sam Rayburn's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Alvin, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-16.

Coincidentally, Sam Rayburn and Alvin will both be playing Manvel the next time they take the court. The Texans will host the Mavericks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
