Softball Preview: Wilsonville Wildcats vs. Parkrose Broncos

Wilsonville is 8-2 against Parkrose since April of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Wilsonville had just enough and edged Centennial out 4-3.

Mia Rucker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Grace Wilson was incredible, going 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Vega, who went 1-for-2 with a home run.

Meanwhile, Parkrose fell victim to La Salle and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 20-0 to the Falcons.

Wilsonville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7-1 record this season. As for Parkrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Everything went Wilsonville's way against Parkrose in their previous matchup back in April as Wilsonville made off with a 15-0 victory.
