Recap: M.L. King Lions vs. Towers Titans
The M.L. King Lions's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They took down Towers 56-41. The win was just what M.L. King needed coming off of a 71-25 defeat in their prior match.
M.L. King's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cequoyah Harris, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Harris hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Aubriana Kirkland was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
The last time M.L. King lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won three straight away matchups, they've pushed their record up to 3-6. As for Towers, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. M.L. King will take on Lithonia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lithonia and M.L. King are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Towers, they will head out on the road to face off against Elite Scholars Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Elite Scholars Academy is ranked 477th, while Towers is ranked 491st).
