After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Farmersville, Wills Point was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over the Life Waxahachie Mustangs. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

A big part of Wills Point's victory came down to the chemistry between TANNER MADDOX and his top target BRIAN MARTINEZ. MADDOX rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries while MARTINEZ rushed for 88 yards and a pair of TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Wills Point proved: they limited Life Waxahachie to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank JAX KING for the heroic effort on defense: he. Wills Point didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.9.
