Basketball Game Preview: Phoenix Pirates vs. Klamath Union Pelicans

Phoenix and Klamath Union are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Phoenix Pirates will host the Klamath Union Pelicans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Phoenix came up short against Hidden Valley and fell 37-29. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Klamath Union lost 56-31 to Henley on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Pelicans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Hornets are ranked 11th).

Phoenix's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Klamath Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Phoenix came out on top in a nail-biter against Klamath Union in their previous matchup last Tuesday, sneaking past 42-40. Does Phoenix have another victory up their sleeve, or will Klamath Union turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
