Lakeville is 3-0 against Atherton since April of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lakeville Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Atherton Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Lakeville is looking to tack on another W to their 17-game streak on the road.
In what's become a running theme this season, Lakeville gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They put the hurt on Fenton with a sharp 13-6 win. Lakeville's victory was all the more impressive since Fenton was averaging only 3.79 runs allowed on the season.
Anabell Newbery made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Newbery has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Newbery was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Larissa Gibson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Brooke Newbery was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.
