Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Roosevelt Mustangs

The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will face off against the Roosevelt Mustangs at 7:10 p.m. on Saturday.

Rancho Cucamonga is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since December 7, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Vista Murrieta by a score of 58-56.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt had already won 13 in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Friday. They came out on top against the Jackrabbits by a score of 51-40.

Rancho Cucamonga's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Roosevelt, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Rancho Cucamonga skirted past Roosevelt 63-60 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
