Baseball Recap: Orting Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cardinals on Thursday. Orting fell just short of Franklin Pierce by a score of 3-2. Orting was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Franklin Pierce earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Orting got a good showing from Cooper Hebert, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Orting saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Turner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Orting's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Franklin Pierce, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
