Basketball Game Preview: Manor Mustangs vs. Salem Sundevils

Having just played yesterday, the Manor Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Salem Sundevils at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Manor came up short against Lake Taylor and fell 49-39. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Titans are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-55 heartbreaker at the hands of Tallwood. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Sundevils have suffered since January 18th.

Manor has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Manor beat Salem 39-32 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Will Manor repeat their success, or does Salem have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
