Basketball Recap: Cloudland Comes Up Short

Cloudland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hampton Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly 11 points.

Cloudland's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Hampton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Cloudland will face off against University School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cloudland is facing University School at the right time seeing as University School is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Hampton, they will venture away from home to take on Gate City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Gate City will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Hampton surely won't give up without a fight.
