Basketball Recap: Port of Los Angeles Falls Short of Contreras in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Port of Los Angeles can now relate to. They fell 72-61 to the Contreras Cobras on Thursday.

Port of Los Angeles lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaeden Tran, who posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias 'Koy' Carrillo, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Port of Los Angeles has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Contreras and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Port of Los Angeles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Contreras, they will take on Triumph Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
