Softball Game Preview: Clear Brook Wolverines vs. Clear Creek Wildcats

The Clear Brook Wolverines will square off against the Clear Creek Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clear Brook has struggled recently with 11 defeats in a row, while Clear Creek will arrive with seven straight victories.

Friday just wasn't the day for Clear Brook's offense. They came up short against Deer Park on Friday, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wolverines' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clear Creek). They never let Clear Falls get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Friday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Clear Creek pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Clear Brook, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.
