League recap: Lexington scores huge upset over Kingston

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lexington, who took down 171st ranked Kingston, 36-13.

Chance Yellowfish and Hiawatha Honsinger provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Coalgate. The connection went for 73 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 4 this season.

Konawa's dynamic duo of Yellowfish and Honsinger proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Yellowfish threw for 136 yards and one touchdown and Honsinger had 103 yards receiving. Kix Walker helped Konawa's passing attack out by catching three balls for 17 yards.

Trent Delozier was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 147 yards as Coalgate lost to Coalgate. Teammate Brian Lee added to the ground attack by rushing for 103 yards.

Jeremy Reeder's team's Dakota Powell and Delozier have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Powell has thrown for 362 yards this season, while Delozier has seven catches for 188 yards. Konawa's Josh Kirkwood leads the league in rushing yards with 630.

A big matchup in 2A District 4 this week will be when the Wildcats take on the Bulldogs. Coalgate is in second place, while Lexington is in third place.

Jeff Hall's team moved up to 155 from 184 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of a 36-13 win over the Redskins.
