Soccer Recap: Luling Comes Up Short

Luling managed to keep up with Waelder until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Luling Eagles lost 3-0 to the Waelder Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Luling's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Waelder, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Luling wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Rice Consolidated on the 10th. As for Waelder, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Navarro at 7:15 p.m. on January 17th.
