Recap: El Camino Eagles vs. Sacramento Dragons

The El Camino Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Sacramento, falling 78-47. El Camino was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-16.

Loss or not, El Camino got some senior leadership from Justin Watts and Demetrious Perry. Watts scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Perry. scored ten points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Bennett, who scored five points.

El Camino's defeat was their tenth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-15. As for Sacramento, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Camino will challenge Capital Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Capital Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matchups -- so hopefully El Camino likes a good challenge. Sacramento's road trip will continue as they head out to face Vista del Lago at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Vista del Lago will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 531st, while Sacramento is ranked 75th).
