Soccer Recap: River View Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for River View after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Hiland Hawks by a score of 2-1. River View haven't had much luck with Hiland recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

River View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Hiland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, River View will venture away from home to challenge Mapleton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hiland, they will square off against Chippewa at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chippewa's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Hiland's offense will have their work cut out for them.
