Basketball Recap: Ironwood Takes a Loss

Ironwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-30 loss at the hands of the Chaparral Firebirds. The Eagles lost against the Firebirds in their previous head to head back in December of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 50-47 score last time.

Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Chaparral, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Ironwood will head out on the road to challenge North Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chaparral, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mountain Pointe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
