Baseball Recap: Upper Merion Area Vikings vs. Upper Perkiomen Indians

Upper Merion Area won the last time they faced Upper Perkiomen and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Indians 3-2.

Tristan Fanning spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Upper Merion Area is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, John Tomsho was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one double. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cole Wellington, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Upper Merion Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Upper Perkiomen only posted a batting average of .174.
