Soccer Game Preview: Cornerstone Academy vs. The Rock

Cornerstone Academy hasn't had much luck against The Rock recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will head out to take on the Lions at 4:00 p.m.

Cornerstone Academy is headed into their contest with The Rock looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Eastland Christian on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, The Rock had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Calvary Christian Academy by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday.

Win Privette and Cash Carter scored all three of The Rock's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Cornerstone Academy suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to The Rock in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Cougars were down 5-0.
