Soccer Recap: Damien Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with St. Louis

On Monday, Damien faced St. Louis in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Damien Monarchs lost 5-1 to the St. Louis Crusaders. The Monarchs haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Damien's goal came courtesy of Sam Kawakami, which was the first he's scored this season.

Damien's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for St. Louis, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Damien will welcome Pac-Five at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Louis, they will venture away from home to take on Mid-Pacific Institute at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. St. Louis is facing Mid-Pacific Institute at the right time seeing as Mid-Pacific Institute is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
