Basketball Recap: Lone Tree Comes Up Short

If Lone Tree was riding high fresh off their 75-33 takedown of Winfield-Mt. Union on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wapello Indians on Tuesday. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Indians since Tuesday.

Lone Tree dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Wapello, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Lone Tree will be playing in front of their home fans against WACO at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wapello, they will challenge Hillcrest Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
