Softball Recap: Beresford Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with West Central

Beresford faced West Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Watchdogs fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Watchdogs have suffered since May 17, 2024.

Beresford's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for West Central, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

Beresford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-0 win against Centerville on the 3rd. As for West Central, they will face off against Dakota Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
